Game Description

The newest installment in the KOF series, “THE KING OF FIGHTERS XII”, which is scheduled for arcade release in Spring 2009, will also be brought to the PLAYSTATION 3.
Additional features will be added in the home version to appeal not only to arcade gamers, but to home game players as well.

Game Feature

NEW MEMBERS
In addition to 20 characters of arcade version, Elizabeth and Mature as the new comers. Totally 22 fighters, enjoy more fun on PlayStation 3!

ONLINE BATTLE!
Players face off online against opponents from countries all over the world via the Internet.
This mode fosters communication through online competition. In order to recreate the feeling of being in a real arcade within the online environment, online “Rooms” will be made available. Especially Clan option is available on PlayStation 3 version only.

COMMAND MODES
Players can choose their preferred command method from the 2 types of Command Modes shown above.
1)NORMAL MODE
Mode suitable for advanced players and devoted fans of the KOF series. Special moves can be performed using the same command controls as previous KOF titles.
2)SIMPLE MODE
Beginner mode with special move commands that can be operated with the greatest of ease by just about anyone. All special moves have been simplified.

OTHER GAME FEATURES
1)VERSUS MODE
Players can select the match format and play Single or Team matches against the CPU or a human opponent.
2)REPLAY MODE
Players with an online connection can upload movies that were saved to a storage device and enter them into the Replay Ranking. Uploaded movies will then be treated as publicly available replays which can be viewed by other players.
3)GALLERY MODE
By satisfying the conditions specified for a particular character, players can unlock the corresponding character illustration and view that image.
4)DOWNLOADABLE CONTENTS
To promote item purchasing, the Main Menu contains a direct link to the PlayStation®Store.
