1. What do I need to prepare when using PS Vita ?

To Use your PS Vita System, you need the following types of card media,

- Memory card for the PlayStation®Vita system

- PlayStation®Vita Card

- SIM Card (3G Model) – you need a compatible SIM card to access a mobile network.


2. What is PlayStation®Vita memory card ?

PlayStation®Vita memory card stores for application downloaded from PlayStation®Network saved data from games, and other content, including your photos and music.


3. What is PlayStation®Vita card ?

Playstation®Vita card contains PS Vita format software. For some games, the PlayStation®Vita card also stores saved data and additional content.


4. Can I remove memory card or SIM card when the power is still on ?

Before you insert or remove memory card or SIM card, check that the power is off.

This helps prevent data corruption or loss.


5. Any lights on while charging for PS Vita system?

While the system is charging, the (PS) button lights up orange.


6. How to start game on PS Vita system?

PS Vita contains PS Vita format software. When the PS Vita card is inserted, the icon for the game appears on the home screen.

On the home screen, tap the icon for the game. The LiveArea screen for the game appears. If you are connected to the internet, various details, such as the latest information about the game, appear on the LiveArea screen.


7. How to save data for a game ?

How to save data depends on the game. For detail, see the instruction for the game.


8. Can I use the saved data on the memory card or the PS Vita card on a different PS Vita system?

If you use the saved data on the memory card or the PS Vita card on a different PS Vita system, there might be times when you cannot earn trophies or saved the data.


9. How can I pause a game on PS Vita system

Press the (PS) button to pause a game and return to the LiveArea screen. To resume playing the game, tap [Continue] on the liveArea screen


10. How can I quit a game?

Press the (PS)button to return to the LiveArea screen, and then peel the screen.


11. How to remove PS Vita card ?

Press on the PlayStation®Vita card to release it and then remove the card. Do not remove the PS Vita card when the access indicator is blinking.


12. How to set up Standby Mode for PS Vita System ?

Turning off the screen while the application is still active (standby mode)

Press the (power)button,

To exit standby mode, press the (power)button again or press the (PS) butoon.


13. How to power off PS Vita system completely?

Press and hold the (power) button for two seconds and then tap [Power Off]. When turning on the system the next time, press and hold the (power) button for two seconds.


14. How to find out when a message has been sent to my PS Vita system?

When a notification or when new information such as a message arrives, the (PS)button lights up blue. Tap the notification indicator to see the new information.


15. Can I run multiple games and application at the same time on PS Vita system?

Starts games and launch applications from the home screen. You can run multiple games and applications at the same time.



16. PS Vita Firmware update method.

you can update your PS Vita system software by any of the methods described below.

- Update using Wi-Fi

- Update by connecting to a PS3™ system

- Update by connecting to a PC

- Update using a PS Vita card



17. What are the things you should be paying attention when updating firmware for PS Vita?

- Do not perform a system software update if a power outage is scheduled in your area.

- Do not turn off the power or remove the memory card for the PS Vita system during the update process.

Interrupting the update can cause a system malfunction.‎

- It might not be possible to start the update if the battery charge level is low.‎

- The power button and the PS button do not function during the system update process.‎

- You might not be able to use some applications or content without first updating the system software.
