When the PSP system is in Hold Mode, the system buttons are locked and do not function. This mode is used to avoid unintended operation of the system. For example, it allows you to disable the buttons while music or movies are playing so as not to cause interruptions.
To enter Hold Mode:
Slide the POWER/HOLD switch on the right side of the PSP system down. The hold indicator will turn yellow.
To clear Hold Mode:
Slide the POWER/HOLD switch back to its original position.
