What can I do if I have problems with my PlayStation Controller?

If you are having problems with your PlayStation Controller:
1.        Make sure the peripheral is an officially licensed PlayStation product by looking for the official PlayStation logo. SCE cannot guarantee the quality of unlicensed peripherals.
2.        Make sure the controller is securely connected to the system.
3.        Static electricity and other factors may affect the operation of controllers. Turn off the main power switch and then turn it back on.
4.        If possible, test the controller on another PlayStation system.
If the controller does not function properly, the controller might need to be replaced.
If the controller does function properly, the original PlayStation system might need to be serviced.
If the vibration function of the analog controller (DUALSHOCK) does not work:
1.        Check the software package to see if it contains a vibration function icon. If the package does not have the icon, the vibration function will not work with this software.
2.        If the package does have the vibration function icon, make sure the vibration function has been enabled in the on-screen options. If the vibration function has not been enabled, turn it on.
