What is Internet Radio for the PSP® system?

With PSP® system software update version 3.80 or later, the Internet Radio feature has been added under Network for the PSP®.
Internet radio is an Internet service that distributes audio content. To listen to an Internet radio broadcast on a PSP® system, you must first add and register an Internet radio player for the PSP® system on a Memory Stick Duo. For details about how to add and use the Internet radio player, see About Internet Radio at http://www.playstation.com/PSP®-app/radio.html.

Registering an Internet radio player:
1.      Insert Memory Stick Duo containing the Internet Radio player into the PSP® system.
2.      Go to Network, and press the button to access [Internet Radio].
3.      Highlight [About Internet radio] and press the button.
4.      Select [Register] from the Internet radio player registration page.
5.      Follow the on-screen instructions to register the player.

When registration is complete, the player icon is displayed for [Internet Radio] under Network.
Select Yes when the "Do you want to run the plug-in embedded in this page?" message appears after you select the icon.

Hints:
1.      You must have a valid network connection (Infrastructure Mode) in order for the PSP® system to connect to the Internet.
2.      The operation and design of the buttons vary depending on the Internet radio player. For details, refer to the help screen for the Internet radio player.
3.      The PSP® system supports streaming audio (audio playback while receiving) for Internet radio. You can listen to streaming content only when connected to the Internet.
4.      For some Internet connection environments, playback may be intermittent or may stop before completion. Also broadcasts may be stopped without prior notice.
