PLAYSTATION®VITA AVAILABLE IN SINGAPORE ON 22nd FEBRUARY, 2012

Singapore, 10th January 2012- Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (SCEH) today announced that PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) Wi-Fi model is confirmed to be released in Singapore on 22nd February, 2012 at a Suggested Retail Price of SGD399.

PS Vita enables a revolutionary combination of immersive gaming and social connectivity within a real world context, transforming every aspect of a user’s daily life into an entertainment experience. Delivering such unparalleled portable gaming experiences, a wide variety of titles are confirmed for a launch date release, with several more titles expected to be released post-launch. PS Vita users will not only be able to enjoy the rich and immersive gaming content, but also have easy access and greater opportunity to communicate with friends through the addition of social networking services and communications widely used around the globe such as Facebook, Flickr, foursquare®, Skype™, and Twitter. PS Vita also allows users to enjoy photos and movies shared with their friends and peers.

Accompanying the launch of PS Vita is a line-up of peripherals and accessories to be released on the same day or soon after. The line-up includes must-have items such as memory cards, and the “Accessory Pack”, which consists of a case, protective film, cleaning cloth, game card case and wrist strap, offering users a broad selection of items to further enjoy on-the-go entertainment with PS Vita.

SCEH will vigorously promote PS Vita towards the launch and work towards expanding the portable gaming market.
