If you enjoy the Facebook features PlayStation®3 offers, allowing you to proudly show off your hard-earned trophies and share game and event related information with friends, then you're in for a treat. Facebook integration on PS3 is about to get even better.

Once you've linked your Facebook account to your online ID and a PSN application has been installed to your Facebook profile on your PC from apps.facebook.com/playstation/, you'll have a world of options available to you from your Facebook profile page. You can browse your PSN friend list, check their PSN status to see if they're online, skim through their trophy information and compare it with yours, and invite Facebook friends to become PSN friends as long as they have the app installed. All your activity will be published to your Facebook newsfeed, so all your friends will be kept bang up to date on your PSN excellence.

A new function, World Trophy, is now available in PlayStation®Network Facebook Application! With this new function you can view the 5 games with largest number of trophies won by gamers around the world, including Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America, Europe, Oceania, Middle East and Africa. How to install the PlayStation®Network Facebook application?

Step 1 - Sign-in to Facebook

Step 2 - Go to the application

Simply click this link:

apps.facebook.com/playstation/

You'll be greeted by a page like the one below. This is asks your permission for the PlayStation Network Application to access your profile. If you wish to use the app, you must click allow so that it can get the information it needs to work.

Step 3 - Accept the Terms

Next up, you'll need to read and accept the Terms of Use. Read the wordy bits, then click agree at the bottom of this page.

Step 4 - Sign in to SEN

You'll now need to sign in to the Sony Entertainment Network to enjoy PlayStation®Network service and link your account with your facebook.Simply sign in the same way you do on our forums

Step 5 - You made it!

You've now activated the PlayStation Network app. You should now see your trophy list, along with a tab which displays the Online ID's of all your facebook friends.

To connect with a facebook friend, you'll need to navigate to the friends tab, and then hit the “Add a friend” button.

Step 6 - Adding your trophies as a tab on your profile

NOTE: The function of Application Settings is subject to the provision by Facebook and may be changed without notice.

Now you can add the app as a tab on your facebook profile, making it easier for your friends to see your trophies.

To do this, you'll need to go to Account > Application Settings:

Next, locate the PlayStation Network Application and select 'Edit Settings':

You'll be greeted with a box which looks like the one below. Here, you'll find an area which says 'Tab: Available (Add)'. Click 'Add' and all done.

So now that you're all set up, you can check out your own trophies, add friends according to who you're connected with on Facebook and, of course, brag about your platinum's on all of your mates' walls.
