SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES THE CHANGE OF MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ACTIVATED DEVICES FOR PSP® (PLAYSTATION®PORTABLE) AND PLAYSTATION®VITA (PS VITA) CONTENTS FROM 2 TO 3


[Hong Kong‧20 November 2013] Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) announces today that after the PSNSM maintenance which will be held in the near future*1, SCE will change the number of portable devices that can be activated on one Sony Entertainment Network account from maximum of 2 units to 3 units for PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) and PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) gaming content bought or downloaded through PlayStation®Store.  Portable devices include PSP, PS Vita and PlayStation®Vita TV (PS Vita TV)*2. This change will apply to game content bought or downloaded after November 18, 2011, and those game content bought or downloaded before November 17, 2011, can be played on maximum of 5 portable devices.

 

*1 We will update the detailed timing of the maintenance as soon as decided.

*2 PS Vita TV is currently available in Japan only and soon to be released in Asian countries and regions.  Some PS Vita content may not be playable on PS Vita TV.
