Hong Kong, 25th July 2014 –Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong (SCEH) announced today at Ani-Com 2014 that the first color variation for PlayStation®4(PS4™) “Glacier White” will be available in Hong Kong on 9th September, 2014. Peripheral line-up will also expand with the “Glacier White” DUALSHOCK®4 Wireless Controller, Vertical Stand and “Urban Camouflage” DUALSHOCK®4, in addition to a Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 “Glacier White”.

 

 

In Hong Kong, PS4 in “Glacier White” will be available as part of a bundle pack featuring Destiny, a highly anticipated title developed by Bungie, Inc. and published by Activision. The bundle also includes a free 12-month subscription to PlayStation®Plus, a PlayStation® One-Year Extended Warranty Service and a $100 PSNSM Voucher Card, all at a recommended retail price (RPP) of HK$3,780. Furthermore, PS4 in “Glacier White” will also be sold separately in Hong Kong at an RRP of HK$3,380. The Vertical Stand will be available in Hong Kong at an RRP of HK$198, and DUALSHOCK®4 in “Glacier White” will be available at an RRP of HK$468. DUALSHOCK®4 in “Urban Camouflage” will be available starting this fall at an RRP of HK$468. Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 in “Glacier White” will be available at an RRP of HK$768 starting this fall.

 

 

In addition, customers pre-ordering “PlayStation®4 “Destiny” Bundle Pack” at Ani-Com 2014 starting today till 29th July will receive a limited “Destiny T-shirt” while stocks last. Customers can also pre-order the “PlayStation®4 Destiny Bundle” at PlayStation®Platinum Shops and Sony Stores from 1st August, and receive a limited “Destiny T-Shirt” while stocks last.

 

Gamers now have a variety of colors to choose from when selecting PS4 systems and peripherals, as users can choose from both the original “Jet Black” and the new “Glacier White” PS4 systems, as well as a range of colors for DUALSHOCK®4 including “Urban Camouflage” and “Glacier White” in addition to the existing colors*1.

 

The PS4 system’s game portfolio will continue to expand with over 120 titles to be available worldwide by the end of this year. These include highly anticipated titles from first- and third-party publishers such as LittleBigPlanet 3, SingStar, and DRIVECLUB (SCE World Wide Studios). Games from independent developers continue to thrive on PS4, with upcoming titles like N++ (Metanet Software Inc), GALAK-Z: The Dimensional (17-BIT Games), Secret Ponchos (Switchblade Monkeys Entertainment), Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty(Oddworld Inhabitants, Inc / Just Add Water, Ltd.), and The Witness (Thekla, Inc.).*2 New content for THE PLAYROOM, a title pre-installed in all PS4 systems, will be offered for free starting this summer. Using the PlayStation®Camera, gamers can display themselves on their TV screens and use either their PlayStation®Vita or a mobile device installed with PlayStation®App to add music or original objects to their surroundings. The new content adds a variety of customization options, like the ability to add special lighting and smoke effects, as well as personalized banners. Gamers that enjoy live broadcasting their sessions with THE PLAYROOM using PS4’s built-in ‘SHARE’ functionality also gain new options, including the ability to add user generated polls on specific topics, such as their favorite videogame or character.*3

 

Furthermore, YouTube is coming to PS4 this year. PS4 gamers will be able to quickly upload video captures to their YouTube channel with a simple press of the DUALSHOCK®4 Share button. Users can also see their friends’ shared YouTube videos in their “What’s New” feed. In addition to the integrated sharing functionality, a YouTube app on PS4 will become available where PS4 users can access their favorite YouTube channels, videos and personalities.

 

Along with exciting upcoming titles and the enhancement of network services, SCEH will further expand the PS4 platform through the introduction of PS4 in “Glacier White” and the broadening of peripherals.
